The Winnetka Park District operates through approximately $5.5M in program revenues and receives $5.5M in property taxes. Year after year, the Park District retains a sound financial position. Key highlights include:

  • Moody’s Rating: Moody’s Investor Service has given the Park District a rating of Aa1, citing well-managed financial operations that yield stable operations and ample reserve levels.
  • Financial Excellence Award: For the past 13 years, the Park District has received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

Compensation

In accordance with IL Public Act 0097-0609, the Winnetka Park District will provide an itemized compensation report for all employees who have a compensation package which exceeds $75,000. To request this information, contact Beth Dostert at edostert@winpark.org.

Public Pensions

In 2019, the Illinois General Assembly passed Public Act 101-0504. The law requires the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) to post employer costs and participation information on its website.
