Non-Motorized Boat Storage
Storage racks are available at the Stepan Family Boat Launch at Lloyd Beach. Sail lockers are included with sailboat storage at Lloyd.
Racks are not available for rowing shells, Hobie Cat Sailboats, Mirage Island Kayaks, or similar boats.
Purchase a Summer Boat Storage Rack Spot
Membership dates: May 1 – April 30
2023 rack holders have the first right of refusal. Racks not renewed will be available to patrons on the waitlist starting May 1.

Purchase a Winter Indoor Boat Storage Spot
Starting October 1, 2023, we will open up winter indoor boat storage spots for Winnetka residents. Keep your boats out of the winter weather by storing them inside the Lloyd Beach House during the off-season.
Indoor storage is available for sunfish, lasers, kayaks, and paddleboards. Storage runs from November 01, 2023, through April 01, 2024. The cost is $300.

2024 Lottery Ticket Drawing
Every year, limited storage spaces at Stepan Family Boat Launch and Fenced-In Storage and Service are available to patrons via bid or lottery. Storage includes a secure space and in-and out-of-water service for one motorized boat or two personal watercrafts (on one trailer).
November 1 at 8:30am: Ticket sales begin
February 13 at 5pm: Ticket sales end
February 14 at 11am: Lottery ticket drawing event takes place at the Winnetka Park District office (540 Hibbard Road). This event will also be streamed live via Zoom.Â
One motorized boat storage space is available by lottery for a four-year term. Lottery tickets are $100 each for residents and $250 each for non-residents. A maximum of ten lottery tickets allowed per boat owner (as listed on the boat title or boat registration). Winners will be required to submit a check for the first year’s storage fee by March 1. Each person purchasing a lottery ticket(s) must read, review, and sign the Fenced-In Storage Lottery Process + Guidelines.
