Plan Winnetka Parks!
Help shape the future of Winnetka Park District
Winnetka Park District has begun work on a new comprehensive master plan, which will outline the strategic vision for the agency over a ten year period. A master plan utilizes internal assessment, data collection, and community input to help determine how to best serve a changing and growing community. The plan will focus on community needs and improvement through feedback from residents and key stakeholders. The district needs the community’s input to identify goals to improve Winnetka’s parks, beaches, facilities and programs which will create a roadmap for Winnetka Park District’s future. Berry, Dunn, McNeil & Parker, LLC (Berry Dunn) is the contractor for the project.
The Winnetka Park District is now conducting a Community Survey to guide our Comprehensive Master Plan. This survey will help us establish priorities for future improvements to our parks, facilities, programs, and services. The survey will take about 10-15 minutes to complete, and each question plays a key role in helping us take a resident-centered approach in our decision-making process. Your insights will help us shape services that enrich our community and enhance the quality of life in Winnetka.
A total of 3,000 households in the Park District were selected at random to participate in the survey, and received a survey in the mail. If your household received a mailed survey, please complete the survey and return it as soon as possible.
If your household was not selected at random to receive a survey in the mail, you can still participate by taking the survey here: winparksurvey.org.
The results for both the random sample, as well as the non-random sample, will be provided separately on the Park Districts’ website in the spring.
