THE WINNETKA PARK DISTRICT HOSTING OPEN HOUSE SATURDAY, APRIL 15 FROM 9 – 11AM; ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ARE INVITED TO ATTEND
Winnetka, IL; March 30, 2023 — The Winnetka Park District will host an Open House for the Elder Lane + Centennial Beach Project 9 – 11am, Saturday, April 15 in the Garden Room at the Winnetka Community House, 620 Lincoln Avenue in Winnetka. All Winnetka Park District residents, along with members of the public and other interested parties, are invited to an in-depth viewing of the current design elements for the Centennial Beach Renovations, as well as a comprehensive overview of the entire project.
Attendees will peruse storyboards covering the improvements and unification of Centennial Beach as the second phase of this project, a review of the Elder Lane + Centennial Beach project in its entirety, and estimated project costs.
Highlights of the April 15 Open House include details regarding the significant ADA improvements, a boardwalk to provide sweeping lake vistas, and designs for a dog beach.
Park District commissioners, staff, and professional consultants will provide expertise, answer questions, and collect feedback.
The Park District invites public feedback, thoughts, and ideas using comment cards available at the event, or digitally at winpark.org/contact-us/ by selecting the box for ‘Elder Lane + Centennial Beach Project’.

The Park District anticipates reviewing and approving the design elements and authorizing staff to complete the design elements for final review prior to submitting an application for permit with the various local, state, and federal regulatory agencies during its regular board meeting scheduled for Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 6pm.
