The Winnetka Park District is proud to announce it has been awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2024. This honor, presented by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), represents the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting.
The Certificate of Achievement is a significant accomplishment that reflects the Park District’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and the highest standards in financial management. Reports submitted for the award are rigorously reviewed by an impartial panel to ensure they meet the program’s high standards, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” that clearly communicates the district’s financial story.
In addition to the Certificate of Achievement, the Winnetka Park District also received the Award of Financial Reporting Achievement (AFRA), which recognizes the efforts of the staff and department responsible for preparing the award-winning report.
