The Park District is cooperating with state and federal agencies to allow for sand nourishment on the southern section of Centennial Beach to begin early next week, during the week of October 13, 2025.Â
The work will be completed from Marine based construction. During this time, a temporary construction fence will be installed to limit access to the work area. Once the project is complete, the fencing will be removed, and the beach will reopen to its full capacity.
