Outdoor Tennis Court Update
A.C. Nielsen’s Outdoor Courts Project is moving forward with the asphalt complete, fencing nearly finished, stone laid, and new LED lighting is currently being installed. The winter months will bring a short pause, but we’ll be kicking things back into gear for a June completion and ready for outdoor tennis!

Golf Advisory Board
On November 20, 2025, the Park Board appointed Arthur “Mickey” Archambault, Troy Finnigan, and Jon Kunkle to the Golf Services Advisory Board. The Golf Services Advisory Board will work to review and advise on golf trends, customer experience, and services offered at the Winnetka Golf Club. We are thrilled to welcome them to the team!
Christmas Tree Sales at A.C. Nielsen
This is a reminder that a portion of the A.C. Nielsen parking lot will be blocked for Holiday Tree Sales beginning this weekend. Christmas Tree Set-Up: Saturday, November 22. Christmas Tree Sales: Friday, November 28. Please give yourself extra time when coming to the facility and exercise additional caution when driving in the lot.
Tower Road Beach Driveway Closure
Due to planned construction work at the power plant, the driveway down to Tower Road beach will be closed all day Wednesday, November 19. Access to the parking lot at the top of the bluff will remain open and accessible throughout the day. Park goers are encouraged to use the stairs to access the beach.
Skokie Playfield Synthetic Turf Replacement Project
The Winnetka Park District is moving forward with the replacement of the synthetic turf field at Skokie Playfield. Originally installed in 2013, the current field has provided more than a decade of play and enjoyment for athletes, families, and community members.
