Weather permitting, the Park District floods Indian Hill Park to create outdoor skating and hockey opportunities. In order to establish skate-able ice, the weather must maintain temperatures overnight 15F or below and daytime highs no greater than 20F for TWO consecutive weeks.

Flooding the greenspace takes a minimum of four days and nights once the temperature criteria is met.

Indian Hill Park is currently not flooded for skating use. A reminder, in order for Indian Hill outdoor rink to be created, the weather must maintain temperatures overnight 15F or below and daytime highs no greater than 20F for two consecutive weeks. Flooding the greenspace takes a minimum of four days and nights once the temperature criteria is met.

We will continue to keep the community updated on weather conditions and if Indian Hill Outdoor Ice Rink will open for the 2023/2024 winter season. 

Northfield Park will not be flooded for the 2023/2024 winter season.
