On November 20, 2025, the Park Board appointed Arthur “Mickey” Archambault, Troy Finnigan, and Jon Kunkle to the Golf Services Advisory Board. The Golf Services Advisory Board will work to review and advise on golf trends, customer experience, and services offered at the Winnetka Golf Club. We are thrilled to welcome them to the team! The first meeting will be in January, learn more about the members below:
Arthur “Mickey” Archambault has been a dedicated participant at the Winnetka Golf Course for 40 years and has consistently supported its growth and improvement. As the former President of the Winnetka Park Board from 2015-2023, he played an integral role in negotiations with the Village of Winnetka on the golf course renovation, gaining valuable insight into its planning and development. Mickey has also devoted significant volunteer time to the course. His contributions to the course’s redesign, paired with his longstanding passion for the facility, demonstrate his deep commitment to its continued success.
Jon Kunkle brings a unique blend of professional golf management experience and deep community involvement to Winnetka. A Central Michigan University graduate in Parks and Recreation Management and a former Class A1 Head Golf Professional, Jon spent more than a decade in golf operations before moving to Winnetka from Colorado in 2008. Since then, he has been a 15-year season-pass holder, a three-time Winnetka Golf Club Champion, an Illinois State Senior Am qualifier, and a longtime board member and President Emeritus of the Winnetka Men’s Golf Association.
Troy Finnigan is a dedicated community member and avid golfer who moved to Winnetka from San Diego in 2021. With 13 years of Management Consulting experience, he brings strong problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills, along with a talent for understanding diverse perspectives. Troy serves on the Board of the Winnetka Men’s Golf Club as the New Member Chair, where he has engaged with thousands of golfers to understand their needs and ideas. Troy hopes to bring fresh perspectives and a collaborative approach to helping the Park District continually enhance its facilities and fulfill the community’s priorities.
