Gullen's Pond
Gullen’s Pond is a refrigerated outdoor ice rink at the Winnetka Ice Arena. During the winter, it is open for hockey, public skating, and rentals.
The outdoor rink has a “weather assist” refrigeration system. This system is not designed to keep the ice completely frozen when air temperature is above 40 degrees. Temperatures over 40 degrees generally result in unsafe ice conditions which results in closure.
The Ice Arena staff consistently monitors forecasted air temperatures along with current “real time” ice conditions to decide if the rink is safe to skate on.
Registration is not required for Gullen’s Pond.
