Centennial Special Use Permit Temporary Dog Fencing

The Winnetka Park District has submitted a Special Use Permit (SUP) through the Village of Winnetka for temporary fencing improvements at Centennial Park and Beach, including the Dog Beach area. The SUP process ensures that proposed site enhancements align with Village zoning requirements and community standards while protecting environmental, shoreline, and public access interests.

As part of this application, the Park District has submitted detailed site plans, fencing and gate layout, and supporting documentation for review by Village of Winnetka departments and advisory boards. The goal of the Centennial Park SUP is to confirm that the proposed design complies with local ordinances and maintains the natural character of the lakefront.
The Special Use Permit review process also provides an opportunity for public input and agency coordination before a final determination is made by the Village Council. To view the full Centennial Park Special Use Permit application and related materials, please click the link below.
