Winnetka Station Park is located in the center of the Central Business District of Winnetka, adjacent to the Winnetka Metra Station. It was the first property acquired by the newly formed Winnetka Park District. There is a comfortable sitting area surrounding a circular planter in the center of the park. The sculpture in the planter (and the piece across the street entitled “The Ascent of Mount Katahdin”) is by nationally known sculptor and former Winnetka resident Abbott Pattison.
