Lloyd Park is the largest park on Winnetka’s lakefront and is the district’s Boating and Sailing Center.  Both a road and a sidewalk provide access into the park through a stone gateway.  The heavily wooded upper bluff includes, on the south side, parking spaces for 60 vehicles and additional overflow parking on the adjacent lawn.

The road and walk lead down to the lakefront.  A large pier extending into Lake Michigan at the northeast corner of the park provides launching facilities for boats up to 28 feet long.  Trailered boat storage is available on site within a fenced area on the pier.  Sailboats and other small watercraft are accommodated on racks paralleling the wooden boardwalk leading to the Beach House in the center of the beachfront.  This building has classroom and storage space, as well as restrooms.  During the boating season, Lloyd Park is a hub of water craft activity.  No swimming is permitted at this location.
