Family Campfire

The tranquil setting of Crow Island Woods is the perfect place for an old fashioned family campfire. Enjoy sitting by the fire, listening to a story from the Winnetka Public Library, cooking hot dogs on a stick, and spending some quality time with family and friends. Kids are free of play flashlight tag or let their imaginations run wild. Be sure to stop by the Schmidt-Burnham Log House!

The Winnetka Historical Society will be opening its doors during the night of the campfire for free self-guided tours and a scavenger hunt for children.

Cap the evening off roasting marshmallows over the fire for s’mores.
