Health + Safety Procedures

Your family’s health and safety is our top priority. Park District staff have worked hard to reformat our programs and camps to create as safe of an environment as we can for all participants. Below is a comprehensive list of the adjustments made.

Smaller Group Sizes

Each class/program’s size has been drastically reduced to maintain small groups of participants (as few as four participants for many programs). This allows participants to spread out and ensures that staff can monitor and enforce social distancing.

Sanitizing & Cleaning

Enhanced cleaning procedures have been implemented across all facilities. We have changed our schedules to allow for cleaning and sanitizing between programs and classes. Additionally, all facilities have sanitizing stations throughout.

Face Coverings

All staff and participants are required to wear a face covering in indoor and spaces, regardless of physical distance. Participants are responsible for bringing their own face coverings.

Outdoors (when possible)

Although it is winter and cold, staff are making every effort to hold programs outdoors whenever the weather is mild. For all indoor programs, participants will remain in small groups and participate in activities that allow them to keep a social distance from others.

Staff Training

In addition to our regular training, all staff have received extensive training on proper COVID-19 safety and health procedures.

No Shared Equipment

All participants are required to provide their own equipment. Loaner equipment (e.g., tennis racquets, golf clubs, etc.) will not be available.

Common Areas

All lounges and other gathering areas are closed.

Although we have made these adjustments, there is always a risk of being exposed to COVID-19 when participating in group activities. We encourage parents to consider and properly weigh these risks for their child and family and only do what they feel most comfortable with.
