The tranquil setting of Crow Island Woods is the perfect place for an old fashioned family campfire. Enjoy sitting by the fire, listening to a story from the Winnetka Public Library, cooking hot dogs on a stick, and spending some quality time with family and friends.
Kids are free to play flashlight tag or let their imaginations run wild. Cap the evening off roasting marshmallows over the fire for s’mores.
The community is invited to join the New Trier VFW Post #4831 to honor United States war veterans. This year's honorary speaker is Master Sergeant Arlene Walsh, US Army Reserve veteran. Some events of the evening include a presentation of the colors, a rifle salute, an honorary guest speech, and more.
