Fourth of July Celebration

10am: Parade

Starts: Intersection of Elm Street & Glendale Avenue
Ends: Village Green, 525 Maple Street

Come on out and show your patriotic spirit! Watch and support local organizations and your fellow neighbors as they march in Winnetka’s annual Fourth of July Parade along with orchestras, pipe bands, the Dixieland Bands, jugglers, Uncle Sam on stilts, and so much more! The parade steps off from the intersection of Elm Street and Glendale Avenue and heads east through town all the way to the Village Green. Family, friends and anyone in between are welcome to be a part of this patriotic event.

Want to participate in the parade? Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate. Just fill out an entry form and submit it by June 19.

11am: Events on the Green

Village Green, 525 Maple Street
After the parade, join us at the Village Green for the traditional flag-raising ceremony, a children’s flag parade, and family races. Compete for the coveted family trophy and let the bragging rights begin.

6pm: Fourthfest & Fireworks

Duke Childs Field, 1321 Willow Road
Bring dinner or purchase food while you enjoy music, children’s activities, and the most spectacular fireworks on the North Shore!


6-8pm: Food vendors, inflatables, rides, face painters, balloonist, and more
7-9pm: Live music from The Ravines
8pm: Jesse White Tumblers
9:20pm: Fireworks

Be A Proud Community Supporter of the Winnetka Fourth of July Celebration

The Fourth of July Celebration is Winnetka’s largest and most expensive community-wide celebration. It is a true Winnetka tradition and has taken place every year for the past 130 years. Please consider a financial contribution on behalf of your family to keep this tradition alive in 2019. All donations are tax deductible and taken through the Winnetka Parks Foundation, a non-profit fundraising arm to the park district.
