COVID-19 Updates

Parks / Fields

Neighborhood Parks, Trails and Athletic Fields at Skokie Playfields

All are open as long as patrons practice social distancing. This means no group gatherings, no pickup games, maintaining a six foot distance from others, staying off of playground equipment, and abiding by posted signs/barriers. View map of all 25 of our parks.

Playgrounds

The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) has released guidelines allowing units of local government to determine if outdoor playgrounds can open. In collaboration with the Village of Winnetka, the Winnetka Park District has opened all of its outdoor playgrounds!

Playgrounds are not sanitized or cleaned. Please follow CDC and IDPH health and safety guidelines, including:

  • Stay home if you are sick
  • Wash your hands before and after visiting the playground
  • Maintain a physical distance of at least six feet
  • Be prepared to wear a face covering if six feet of distance can’t be maintained
  • Cover coughs or sneezes (into the sleeve or elbow, not hands)

Restrooms and water fountains will remain closed, so please plan accordingly when visiting parks.
