In the tree survey report conducted by Urban Forest Management inc. of Fox River Grove, IL. in September 2007, the caliper inch total for all 157 trees equals 2,530”.

At what cost?

The final cost for replacement is unknown at this point in the program. Should the Cherry street site option be selected, extreme care for the preservation of trees in relation to how the building is laid out will be of highest priority.

Once the extent of tree removal is known, an assessment of every tree affected will be conducted by the Village Forester.  Based on his analysis, recommendation and the findings of the Village of Winnetka Forestry Commission, a final tree replacement program will be determined.   At that point, a final tree replacement cost can be tabulated.

Is this in the Cherry Street site cost?

Without knowing what the final tree replacement will be, an allowance of $112,500 for tree plantings has been factored into our initial cost estimates.  We have also included an additional $100,000 for landscaping.
