NEW! Holiday Camp
Put a little excitement into your winter break this year. This camp will give the kids a chance to blow off some steam and have some fun. Each day participants will choose from activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts and more. The registration deadline is December 15 unless the maximum is reached before that date.

Preschool Drawing Class
Young Rembrandts has a unique opportunity for your child, a drawing class for young children. Each week we draw a new subject, learning about the subject as we draw it. Our drawings range from fish to teddy bears, rainbows to castles and much more. Each session are all new lessons, continued enrollment builds skills. Along with learning to draw and color we develop focus, fine motor skills, listening skills, stay on task, spatial organization and much more. Class is fun, positive, encouraging and skill building. One mounted drawing completed each week. There will be no class February 16.

Elementary Age Drawing & Cartooning Class
Learn thru the Power of Drawing. What a great time we’re going to have sharpening our basic drawing skills and what fun we’ll have creating our own unique cartoons! Young Rembrandts uses art to build drawing skills for children who love to draw but also is a great avenue for those children who need to brush up on basic learning skills. Every session we’ll draw new lessons . . . no repeats.

In drawing we’ll use a variety of subjects including still life and graphic work. Every month we’ll focus on a piece of work from our “Artist of the Month”. In cartooning we’ll learn strong cartoon skills to help us communicate funny jokes in our drawings. We work on facial expressions, using large words to illustrate a scene and sequencing to tell a silly story. Come join the fun!! There will be no class February 16.

Dinosaur Fun
Join us as we explore the wonderful world of dinosaurs, from the smallest to the largest. Every class recreates its discoveries with a craft project.

NEW! The Kindness Connection
The Kindness Connection (TKO) is an innovative not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting volunteerism by connecting schools, groups, and/or individuals with those in need through service learning activities. The Kindness Connection started as a vision of two Wilmette, IL. mothers who wanted to find meaningful age-appropriate volunteer projects to do with their children, in order to teach their kids the values of giving back and of having compassion for others.

The Kindness Connection has reached over 5,100 children volunteers in over 25 schools and organizations in the last year and has delivered over 7,500 handmade projects and over 3,800 hours to 15 organizations in the greater Chicagoland area. The Kindness Connection began spreading its kindness through service-learning projects in K-6 schools, where kids are able to do fun hands-on activities such as making pillows for hospital patients, catnip toys for an animal shelter, and medals for Special Olympians.

Join us on this very special day-off school workshop. Each child’s project will include a personalized hand-written note to be sent to the recipient.
