Kiddie Camp offers youngsters an exciting first camp experience. Campers participate in arts and crafts, show and tell, theme weeks, special events, and outdoor group activities. Water activities include sprinklers but no beach visits. Children must be 3 years old by the start of camp. All children must be toilet trained and cannot wear diapers to camp.

This is an exciting camp for girls and boys who want to do a combination of activities in the summer. Campers will go on field trips twice a week, travel to Tower Rd. Beach twice a week and spend day five participating in a wide range of activities including sports, crafts and special events.

Camp Almost Anything Goes Back to top
Camp Almost Anything Goes combines the best of camp activities. Campers take part in a wide range of activities that includes arts and crafts, games, sports, nature and special events.

Children also meet each week at Tower Road Beach for water activities.

Camp Almost Anything Goes campers journey once a week on field trips to such places as aquatic parks, arcades, and other destinations. Field trips are all-day events.

Jr. Camp Counselor Back to top
The Winnetka Park District’s Junior Counselor Camp for students entering grades 7-9 in September is one part classroom, one part outdoor games/activities, and one part practical job experience. Junior counselors will also be certified in CPR and AED trained. This camp will concentrate on leadership skills necessary to be a successful counselor. The first two days will be spent in the classroom and the rest of the session each Jr. Counselor will be placed with a camp.

Please Note: Some Jr. Counselors will be placed at camps that are half-day and end at noon.

If you have successfully completed the Jr. Counselor training and would like to volunteer as a junior counselor, please contact Ed Bjes at (847) 501-6130 by April 1. Space will be limited.

Campers may sign up for only one session. This camp has a limited registration and will fill quickly.

This Winnetka Park District camp offers a funfilled week of golf, tennis and group recreational activities. With coaching provided by Winnetka Park District’s talented golf and tennis teaching professionals and structured recreation activities led by the District’s experienced camp staff, your children are guaranteed to learn new skills and have a great time.

Adventure Camp Back to top (No Online Registration for this Camp)
Fill your summer with challenge and adventure with the Winnetka Park District’s Adventure Camp. If you’d like the excitement of going away to camp but don’t want to be completely away from home, this is the camp for you. Once per session, one night is spent camping near the Tower Rd. Beach House. Challenge yourself and work on team-building skills at a teams course. Scuba diving, wall climbing, hiking and mountain biking are other special experiences campers will enjoy.

The camp is split into two sessions of three weeks each. Both sessions will have similar experiences but at a different location. In Adventure Camp, cooperation with others is stressed. Team work is important. Everyone is responsible for meal preparation, caring for the group’s gear, and cleanup. Camp leaders will interact closely with the campers. Safety is stressed at all times, and camp leaders are certified in first aid and CPR. Campers must bring a sack lunch and beverage to camp every day.

Please Note: Due to the popularity of the camp, a computer generated lottery for Winnetka residents will be held on March 12. Registration and payment must be received by March 11 at 5:00 pm.

Sports Made Personal - Super Olympic Sports Camp Back to top
If all day you dream about sports . . . you have found your dreams to be true. This Super Olympic Summer Sports Camp will not only give the opportunity to explore, but to achieve as well. The Super Olympic Sports camp will focus on individual skill-sets along with passion and desire building.

This camp will facilitate a mini-summer Olympics with each couple of days tailored to a new sport. SMP will focus on form and technique, making sure that every athlete is in understanding of the fundamentals. Athletes will be put in game like situations with the emphasis on team building and team strategy. Mixed in the fun will be a variety of your favorite recess classics, a fun change of pace throughout the day. Also, athletes will participate in a mini tournament and various sport related competitions for prizes and give-a-ways.

The camp will consist of 3 2-week sessions. The afternoon session will include a supervised lunch.

Soccer, Lacrosse, Basketball, Baseball/Softball/T-Ball and Flag Football.

Attention working parents! Do you need a place for your Happiness Is, Almost Anything Goes and Middle School Madness camper to stay before and after camp? This supervised low-key program is provided at Hubbard Woods Monday-Friday from 7:30 - 9:00 am and 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Activities range from supervised gym time to quiet activity time. Parents may register children for morning hours, afternoon hours, or both. Registration must be for the whole session.

The program is open to all children registered for Happiness Is, Almost Anything Goes and Middle School Madness. There must be a minimum of 8 children in each session (am or pm), so please sign up soon to ensure the success of the program.
