Boys Fall Lacrosse
The Winnetka Park District, in conjunction with Lacrosse
America, will be offering youth boys’ lacrosse for grades 3
through 8.
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in Chicagoland and around the
country! This fast paced exciting sport combines the best of football,
hockey, soccer and basketball. This fall’s lacrosse programs are open to
beginners as well as experienced players. This is the ideal program to learn
and practice the action-packed sport of lacrosse. All boys are required to
have their own lacrosse stick. Protective equipment can be rented – visit

This program will be divided into three divisions. Boys in grades 3rd-4th,
5th-6th, and 7th-8th will play on Saturdays (times listed below). Boys will
do drills and learn team concepts to use in games to be played against inhouse
teams. Emphasis in games will be on skill development, teamwork,
sportsmanship and equal playing time. More experienced players should
consider playing in the Lacrosse America fall league, details at

The registration deadline for Fall Lacrosse is August 29 at 5 pm. There is a $25 late fee for registrations taken after this date.

Girls Fall Lacrosse Leagues
Illinois Girls Lacrosse Association
in partnership with Lakeshore Lacrosse
Glencoe, Northfield, and Winnetka Park Districts are joining forces to be
a part of a new and exciting youth lacrosse league exclusively for girls
of all skill levels. This is a grade school league run by women in lacrosse
who want to help girls reach their potential in a fun and safe environment.
The goals of the program are to understand the rules of lacrosse, active
teamwork, sportsmanship, and fostering personal development in a
respectful environment led by positive coaching. All players will receive
equal playing time and will be played in all positions.
Practices will be one day a week for 1½ hours. Games will be played on
Saturdays or Sundays. All home games will be played in Winnetka. The
game and practice locations and schedules will be posted on the web site:
www.iglax.org. Neighboring teams in the league include, but are not
limited to, Highland Park/Northbrook, Kenilworth, and Wilmette. The
league fee does not include transportation.
Each player must have goggles, a stick, and a mouth guard. Sticks and
goggles will be provided to use for each practice and game at no charge
for players new to the league. For further equipment information check

All head coaches and referees are provided by Lakeshore Lacrosse/Illinois
Girls Lacrosse Association (IGLA) staff. IGLA will train assistant coaches/
parent volunteers. All head coaches are active players with the Lakeshore
Women’s Lacrosse Club Team and certified US Lacrosse officials.
