The Winnetka Platform Tennis Club (WPTC) works to promote and
develop platform tennis in the community and serves over 275 members.
The WPTC is the largest user of the Park District facility, accounting for
over 80 percent of the court time used. Our programs range from social
to competitive. There are men’s and women’s teams, tournaments, social
functions, and mixed couple events. The WPTC encourages new members
to get involved in these exciting programs. If there is a wait list for new
club members, a Park District resident who expresses an interest in joining
before June 15 has priority over a non-resident.
WPTC members are automatically members of the American Platform
Tennis Association. Check the APTA website, www.platformtennis.org,
and the North Shore Women’s Platform Tennis League (NSWPTL) at
www.nspaddle@theramp.net. The website for Chicago Paddle Tennis Men
and Women is www.reveregroup.com/paddle.

The WPTC proudly sponsors nine women’s teams in the NSWPTL. Women’s
team practices begin mid-September. League play begins mid-October
and runs through March. Teams were formed last spring, but space may
be available on the lower team. Subs are always needed at every level.
Season membership required. For more information, contact Isabel Cabanne at iscaba@comcast.net.

There are 16 men’s teams participating in the Men’s Chicago Platform
Tennis League. The men’s team practices begin in mid-September. League
