Professionally at the Club:
Cortney is the Head Golf Professional for the Winnetka Golf Club. Prior to this role he was the first assistant at the club for 7 years.
Teaching:
Cortney has given over 4,000 private lessons and clinics to all age groups and aspects of the game. Generated a devoted clientele of students who have experienced dynamic results including: High School State Champion, Chicago area player of the year, Club Champions, Club most improved (2 of last 4 years), Division I scholarship golfers. “I believe that the instructor/coach’s responsibility is to share their enthusiasm for the game and help the student learn. I am a strong believer in setting goals (whatever they may be), this provides purpose and acts as a measuring tool for improvement.”
