Junior Golf Progression
STEP 1
Start-Up (Novice/Beginner) A (5-7 years - 2 hours) ) & B (8 years and older - 2 hours)

After School - Spring Junior Golf
This program is designed to serve as a spring tune-up for the upcoming season. It will consist of instruction training along with par 3 course play time, course management along with pre-round instruction and proper warm-up techniques. WGC program gifts included.
Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate (participants should have had previous exposure to golf)
Pre-Requisite: Completed a Winnetka Golf Club Academy program or had private instruction
Program Goals:
• Redesigned fun and exciting program
• Spring, after-school golf
• Individual one on one time
• Play time on the par 3 course highlighting:
- Application and transferring acquired skills
- Basic rules of the game
- Scoring
- Instilling proper golf etiquette
• Low pressure, fun encouraging atmosphere
• Safety

WGC Academy Junior Golf 4-Day Camps
The Winnetka Golf Club Academy offer youth ages 5 and older an introduction to the game and the opportunity to develop an excellent foundation in the skills they will need for a lifetime of golf enjoyment. As they progress, Junior’s will have the ability to reinforce and build on the skills they have acquired in the previous Steps.
The camps provide juniors the ability to sharpen their games on the course with course management, rules of the game and etiquette presented in a positive learning environment. It is the chief goal of staff professionals and instructors that every student enjoys their time spent at the club.
All programs are taught by PGA golf professionals.
Step 1: Start-Up
Skill Level: Novice/Beginner
Pre-Requisite: No golfing experience necessary

Step 2: FUNdamentals
Skill Level: Beginner/Intermediate
Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy Step 1 camp, had private instruction or able to hit the ball in the air 3 out of 5 times.

Extra: Snack provided daily
Program Goals:
• Pick up where Step 1 leaves off
• To introduce and expand on full swing fundamentals posture, grip and alignment
• Putting, chipping and etiquette covered as well
• Use of a wide variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to reinforce the concepts
• Daily play time on the par 3 course highlighting:
- How the game is played
- Application and transferring acquired skills
- Basic rules of the game
- Scoring
- Instilling proper golf etiquette
• Safety
Upon completion students should be able to get in a proper golf set-up and hit the ball in the air more often than not.

Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy Step 2 camp, had private instruction or able to hit the ball in the air 3 out of 5 times.

Program Goals:
• Pick up where Step 2 leaves off
• Building on the full swing to become more fundamentally sound and consistant
• To Introduce and reinforce short game techniques
• Daily play time on both the par 3 & 18-hole courses (2 days each)
highlighting:
- Course management; how to eliminate mistakes
- Rules of the game
- Reviewing proper golf etiquette
• Use of a wide variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to rein
force the concepts
• Safety
Upon completion students should be able to play the par 3 course on their own in a timely manor and have a working knowledge of rules and etiquette.

Skill Level: Advanced
Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy Step 3 camp or been approved by an instructor through private instruction (participants should be able to hit the ball in the air and over 150 yards with a club of their choosing).
WGC Program Gifts: Included
Extra: Lunch provided daily
Program Goals:
• Pick up where Step 3 leaves off
• Designed to sharpen student’s skills and increase self-confidence
• Specific attention given to applying a fundamentally sound golf swing and short game to the course
• Introduce advanced short game techniques
• Daily play time on the 18 hole course highlighting:
- Course management; how to eliminate mistakes
- Recovery shots
- Stat tracking
- Rules of the game
- Reviewing proper golf etiquette
• Video analysis
• Fundamental golf specific fitness evaluation with suggested workout regime.
• Use of a wide variety of teaching aids, drills and fun games to reinforce the concepts
• Safety
Upon completion students should have an increased knowledge of the golf swing and more advanced short game skills along with improved course management.

Days: Monday-Thursday

Junior Elite Feeder Team
This program will feature Monday competitions on the par 3-course and serve as an introduction to juniors who are interested in becoming
Junior Elite travel team players.
Ages: 7 - 11 years
Skill Level: Int./Advanced/Competitive
Pre-Requisite: Completion of a WGC Academy Step 3 or step 4 camp or been approved by an instructor through private instruction (participants should be able to hit the ball in the air and over 150 yards with a club of their choosing).
Fee: $1200 res. / $1300 nr
Participation Includes:
• Introduction to competitive golf
• Low pressure, fun encouraging team atmosphere
• Junior Season Pass ( Par 3 course)
• Entry into the “Par 3 Majors” Tournament Series
• Range Passes (Quantity determined by Staff)
• Team Shirts & Hat

Junior Elite Travel Team
Mission: To create a fun and enthusiastic environment that prepares junior golfers for competitive and high school golf through the support and guidance of PGA Professionals.
What is the Junior EliteTravel Team?
The Junior Elite Travel Team is a program designed to take juniors from our camps and clinics and put them into a more competitive atmosphere. This program runs for 10 weeks in which players have supervised practice and instruction 2-3 times a week. On Mondays they play as a team in a travel league competing against teams from other courses. The Elite program is the final step for a junior looking to play high school golf or simply gain a greater edge for tournament play. In this program, students will not only learn how to swing the club, but more importantly how to practice and play.
Participation Includes:
• Junior Season Pass (18 & par 3 courses)
• Range Passes (quantity determined by staff)
• Golf Bag, Shirts, Hat
• Organized weekly practices
• One-on-One instruction & video analysis
• TPI evaluation and personalized exercise program
• Weekly Monday matches.
• Discounts in the golf shop
• Year-end banquet
Fee: $3,000 res. / $3,300 nr
