Come early to Hubbard Woods Park to picnic, visit with open merchants in Hubbard Woods and check out the Winnetka-Northfield Chamber of Commerce Farmer’s Market.

Basement Jacks - June 3
Basement Jacks started in a basement in Winnetka. The Jacks were named by a friend who plays along with us occasionally, does lots of gigs in bars in the city, and is from Bucktown.

Members include: Craig Bradley (lead guitar and big corporate lawyer), Bob Ebersole (Keyboards and semi-retired ex CEO), Jim Law (Vocals and international banker of some type, and yes, he is to blame), John McGrath (Guitar and among less important things the best dad on the planet), Brad McLane (Drums and head hunter and all sorts of Village stuff ), Stuart McCrary (Bass Guitar and a big time consultant about something none of us really understands) and Scott Rodgers (Rhythm Guitar, Vocals, photography and annoying guy on the bike on Sheridan).

Johnny Russler and the Beach Bum Band - June 10
You can call the Beach Bum Band a “Parrothead band,” because the beach, warm weather, and the island themes parallel much of the ambience that Parrotheads enjoy. But the Beach Bum Band is NOT a Jimmy Buff ett cover band. The band certainly plays plenty of Buffett favorites, but you’re just as likely to hear music from Bob Marley, Jimmy Cliff, Paul Simon, Dick Dale, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others. They off er variety and entertainment for everyone who enjoys warm weather.

Final Say - June 17
Final Say was formed in 2007 and is owned and operated by the members of the band Maggie Speaks. Playing over 170 shows a year for the past 9 years, Maggie Speaks found that their demand in the private, corporate, festival and nightclub market far exceeded their availability. In 2006, the members of Maggie Speaks created Spoken Four under the Maggie Speaks umbrella to satisfy this demand, only to realize the demand didn’t stop there. With over 300 shows on the books for Maggie Speaks and Spoken Four in 2007, the members of Maggie Speaks are at it again. The response and continuing increase in demand for both Maggie Speaks and Spoken Four made it an easy decision to introduce Final Say, the latest addition to the Maggie Speaks family, to the public for the 2007-08 season.

Final Say is comprised of four of Chicago’s top musicians. The band was designed to completely mirror Maggie Speaks’ stage show, musical repertoire, energy and look. Final Say delivers their performance with the same impeccable customer service that has become a trademark of Maggie Speaks in the music industry.

For years, no other band was able to recreate the full rich sound, tight grooves, seamless harmonies, non-stop high energy shows and unmatched professionalism that Maggie Speaks delivered to their clients. Now with the advent of Final Say, clients have another great option to deliver a musical repertoire that extends from the beginning of rock & roll, through today’s hit music. Whether it is alternative, classic rock, soul, Motown, New Wave, Big Hair Rock, R&B, the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s. Final Say delivers the right music for any occasion. Let Final Say make your next event a hit!

7th Heaven - June 24
Lifelong friends committed to leaving it all out on the stage, NTD Records recording artists 7th Heaven boasts these and other incredible accomplishments. The band has set attendance records at major night clubs across the tri-state region. Record sales nearing 30,000 units sold and digital offerings are available on iTUNES, Amazon, and such.

This is the premier Chicago festival act according to prominent talent buyers in Illinois. The critically acclaimed website “Barstar” refers to 7th Heaven as one of the 3 best bands in Chicago. (They couldn’t or wouldn’t pick just one.) 30 songs in 30 minutes. Believe it can’t be done? WATCH! Dead on renditions of Def Lepard, The Beatles, Bon Jovi, Journey and even U2 are delivered at a frenetic pace driving audiences to literally be dancing in the streets.

Scotch Whiskey Band - July 8

SJB has shared the bill with such luminaries as the Beach Boys, Rare Earth, the English Beat, the Smithereens and the Dave Clark 5 just to name a few. Saturday June plays an eclectic mix of music ranging from the 60’s and the 70’s right through up to today’s hits. The group also performs songs from their 2 original albums.

Wild Daisy - July 22
Wild Daisy is THE most energetic, dynamic female-fronted country band in the Chicagoland area. The band plays all the current, upbeat country favorites, with a few pop/rock surprises thrown in. With three amazing singers in Wild Daisy, the audience hears a variety of singing styles. Wild Daisy plays every show with non-stop energy and enthusiasm, with a view to getting the audience engaged and on their feet! This band LOVES to perform and it shows every time they take the stage!

Wild Daisy formed in spring 2013. The band quickly established its reputation in Chicago, consistently delivering high-quality, entertaining shows, with musicianship and energy that cannot be matched. In just 18 months, Wild Daisy already booked over 65 high-profile gigs, including: First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre VIP Pavilion – Pre and Post Brad Paisley concert party, Chicago Country Fest, Toby Keith’s Bar and Grill Chicago, The Saloon at Bourbon Street, Chicago’s Willis Tower, Old Crow Smokehouse Wrigleyville, Oak Lawn’s Fall on the Green, Cadillac Ranch, Skooter’s Roadhouse, Firewater Saloon and more.

Winnetka Fourth of July Celebration
7/4/2015

Fourth of July Parade
10:00 am
Come On Out And Show Your Patriotic Spirit

Watch and support local organizations and your fellow neighbors as they march in Winnetka’s Annual Fourth of July Parade along with the Jesse White Tumblers, Orchestras, Pipe Bands, Dixieland Bands, jugglers, Uncle Sam on stilts and so much more! The parade steps off from the intersection of Elm Street and Glendale Avenue and heads east through town all the way to the Village Green. Family, friends and anyone in between are welcome to be a part of this patriotic event.

Parade Participation
Our annual July 4th parade is always a wonderful event that brings us all together as friends, neighbors and
citizens. We like to involve as many people as possible in our parade, because it’s always fun to see our citizenry getting into the spirit and doing something out of the ordinary. And let’s face it, the more entries there are, the more festive the parade! So please participate! You don’t need talent (although it’s a plus if you have some), just enthusiasm. Entries may be as simple or sophisticated as you wish. You could decorate a bike, wagon or lawn tractor; build a stunning float; dress in costume; play an instrument; march with the Girl Scouts... Be inspired!

If you can’t resist this chance to show your patriotic spirit, please complete and return an entry form by June
23. You may also call us at (847) 501-2040 to ask how you can participate in this marvelous tradition.
