Every girl deserves to be a princess, so treat one of the most special ladies in your life to an enchanted evening filled with dinner provided by the Grand, dancing,entertainment, special activities, and an ice cream bar. Along with a photograph to help commemorate this magical evening, all little ladies will leave with a goody bag. Fathers are greatly encouraged to wear their best and put on their dancing shoes for a night to remember. Space is limited, so please register early. Registration deadline is February 3.

Join us for a throwback to the 70’s. Participants are encouraged to dress in their Saturday night best for this social mixed doubles tennis round robin. Post-match appetizers and refreshments will be provided in the Nielsen Lounge. Wooden rackets are not required.

Winnetka's Got Talent

Attention Winnetka Residents! Do you have a hidden talent that you want to show the world? Okay, maybe not the world, but at least the residents of Winnetka. Come test out your skills at Winnetka’s Got Talent. You will perform your talent in front of a live audience. There will be judges who will vote on the overall winner. Please submit a DVD, CD, or a Youtube clip of your hidden talent to John Shea at jshea@winpark.org, along with the entry fee by February 6, 2015. At least one member of the group must live in Winnetka. Space is limited, so please register early.

CircEsteem is Chicago’s premiere youth circus with a mission of uniting youth from diverse backgrounds and building self-esteem throught the practice of circus arts.  Sponsored in part by the Winnetka Park District.

Leprechaun Leap

Cannot wait for the beach season to start? You are in luck! Bring your swimsuit, towels,sunglasses, sunscreen, and do not forget the hand warmers and blankets. That’s right, hand warmers and blankets. The average temperature of Lake Michigan in March is around 38 degrees. Think you are tough enough to withstand 38 degrees of cold water? Come test your bravery by taking a quick leap into the beast they call Lake Michigan. After your daring journey into Lake Michigan enjoy corned beef and refreshments around bon fi res across the beach. To guarantee you receive a hoodie please register by February 28. Registration will be accepted after that date, but you will not be guaranteed a hoodie.

Chili Cook Off and Dessert Bake Off

Has it been said that you make the best chili or your desserts are to die for? If this is you then please join us this year at the Chili Cook Off and Dessert Bake Off , part of Leprechaun Leap. Prizes will be awarded to the People’s Choice for Dessert and Chili. Participants of the Chili Cook Off must bring 1 gallon of chili, serving utensils, and crock pot to keep their chili warm. Electricity, tables, chairs, bowls, and spoons will be provided. Participants of the Dessert Bake Off must bring enough dessert to pass out at least 100 samples for the public to taste. Space is limited, so please register early.

Register by February 28 to guarantee a t-shirt.

Doggy Egg Hunt

Centennial Dog Beach members don’t forget to sign up your family dog for the Winnetka Park District’s Annual Doggy Egg Hunt. Plastic eggs will be filled with dog treats and hidden all over Centennial Park. If your dog finds the egg they get to keep it. In addition to the egg hunt, doggy participants will receive a giveaway. All dogs must be leashed.

Egg Hunt

Join the fun and excitement of hunting for goody-filled eggs in Winnetka’s annual Egg Hunt. After the eggs are all cracked, stick around and get your picture taken with the hare himself, EB the Bunny. All parents and children will have the opportunity to get their picture taken, bounce around on an inflatable, and even pet real bunnies! Children under three should hop on over to the “Bunnies-in-Training” pen where they can safely explore unfilled eggs. Don’t be late; the eggs will not last long! Please bring your own basket.

Students wishing to participate in the Ice Show must be registered in the Winter and Spring Sessions. Please contact Florence Erie Krieger, Figure Skating Director for further details at (847) 501-2060.

Need assistance in measuring? Our staff will be on hand to measure on Thursday, January 15 from 4:00-6:00 pm. Costume order deadline is January 16. Costume orders received past that date will be subject to availability and a $15 late charge, with no exceptions.

Memorial Day Parade & Observance

10:00 am

Join in the Village’s 88th annual Memorial Day observance. The parade kicks off at 10 am from the corner of Glendale and Elm Streets and heads east to the Village Green. A ceremony immediately follows on the Green. In case of inclement weather, an indoor ceremony will be held in the auditorium at Skokie School.
