Minutes Of The Finance Committee

Commissioner Vanden Bosch called the meeting to order at 5:59 p.m. Present were Commissioners Vanden Bosch and Snyder. Also present were Director Schwarz and Treasurer Farmer.
Mr. Farmer informed the committee of an incorrect assumption at the September 15, 2009 Finance Committee meeting. The committee had eliminated the First Bank and Trust from consideration because First Bank and Trust did not have a local presence in Winnetka. This was in error, First Bank and Trust has a branch office located at 100 Green Bay Road, Winnetka, Illinois. Mr. Farmer recommended including First Bank and Trust in the group of banks to have interviews scheduled.
Commissioner Snyder stated this banking proposal process has proven that the existing banking relationship with Harris Bank is the most advantageous. Any new agreement will be higher than what the Park District is currently paying.
After a short discussion, Mr. Farmer was instructed to inquire if Harris Bank will continue the existing banking relationship as if the request for proposals did not occur.
Commissioner Vanden Bosch adjourned the meeting at 6:23 p.m.
