Beach Closings

Beaches are normally closed because the monitoring conducted by the Illinois Department of Public Health or its agents determined that bacteria levels exceed those established in the Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Code.

If you have a question whether a beach will be open or closed, please call (847) 501-2077 after 9 am during regular hours of operation. You can also visit the Winnetka Park District web site
at www.winpark.org or sign up for text alerts.

NEW! Beach Closing Text Alerts
You can now have text messages sent to your phone whenever any of the Winnetka Park District Beaches are closed due to high bacteria or high surf. Just provide us with your cell phone number at the front desk or on your beach application when you purchase your beach passes. The program will be activated beginning June 11, opening day.
