Lottery Rules & Regulations 2012-13 Indoor Permanent Court Time

Lottery Application Form (due February 27, 2012)

  1. The lottery draw will be held on Saturday, March 3 at 10:00 am at the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center, Court 4 Gallery.
  2. The Permanent Court Time Lottery is open to all players who are season privilege holders. Please read the following rules carefully.
  3. Membership, lottery applications and fees for those wishing to be in the lottery will be due on or before February 27, 2012.
  4. All lottery applications must list at least three persons in the playing group. No name may appear on more than one application.
  5. All lottery application fees will be refunded if a court time is not selected. No refunds of season privileges will be given
  6. All lottery applications will be obligated for the total cost of their court period as assigned for the entire indoor permanent court time, Saturday, September 8, 2012 through Friday, May 3, 2013.
  7. At least one person listed on the application or a designated proxy must be present to select a preferred seasonal court time when that application is drawn.
  8. No shifting of the selected season court time will be allowed once it has been assigned.
  9. Substitutions in the group during the season will be allowed, provided at least one of the original applicants, as submitted, is playing in the four some.
  10. A $6 guest fee will be assessed for those playing on permanent time who are not members of the A.C. Nielsen Tennis Center.
  11. Permanent court time cannot be canceled. If you cannot use your time, staff will try to sell your time through the reservation process. If sold, a refund will be issued to the permanent court captain for distribution to the other players in the group.
  12. Seasonal court times are not transferable and will be subject to cancellation and no new time assigned if the privilege is abused in any way with regard to the rules and regulations outlined herein.
  13. Applications received after the drawing will be accepted and assigned their selection of seasonal court time from those available on a first-come, first- served basis.
  14. All season privilege holders will be restricted (by daily lottery or otherwise) to
  15. Three court reservations during any seven-day period including their seasonal court time assignment.
  16. The Winnetka Park District reserves the right to preempt permanent court time.
  17. The following holidays will be excluded from the permanent court time season: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday.
  18. Payment for permanent court time will be made in two installments. Bills are sent to captains in September and January.
