Skokie Playfield Open House

On January 19 the Winnetka Park District held a public hearing regarding the Skokie Playfield Master Plan Phase I Initiatives. Although well-attended, the Park Board would like the community to have another opportunity to view and provide comments, prior to Board action on various options at the February 23 Board meeting.
An open house is planned for this Saturday, February 11 starting at 1:00 pm, with a formal presentation being held at 1:30 pm at the Community Room (540 Hibbard Rd.).
This presentation will include the following elements of the Skokie Playfield Master Plan project:
- Water management and cooperation with the Village
- Site changes and field configuration
- Field surfacing options
- Estimated project costs
- Timelines for the project
The presentation being shown on Saturday is a duplicate to the January 19 public hearing.
Project updates are provided regularly on the Winnetka Park District website at www.winpark.org under capital projects.
