Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140/1 et seq.), requires all public bodies in the State of Illinois to make non-exempt public records available for inspection and copying. The Winnetka Park District not only strives to comply with the law, but also fully endorses the fundamental concept that all persons are entitled to full, accurate, and complete information regarding the affairs of the Park District and the official acts and policies adopted by Park District officials and public employees.
In compliance with the Freedom of Information Act, the Winnetka Park District has identified the following individuals as Freedom of Information Act Officers and Open Meeting Act Officers:

How can I submit a FOIA request?

Requests should state the information being sought under the Freedom of Information Act. Provide a brief description of the public records requested, with specific detail to help identify the information requested. Request forms may be submitted in person, by mail, email or by fax.
