Winnetka Beaches - General Information

Beaches Open on Friday, June 11 Hours: 9 am - 7 pm Adult Daily Rate: $4 res. / $10 nr Child Daily Rate: $3 res. / $8 nr General Beach Rules Are Posted At All Beaches, In Every Beach Newsletter & On Our Web Site At www.winpark.org!

• Swimming is allowed at Tower, Maple and Elder Beaches.

• Lifeguards are on duty at all times the beaches are officially open for swimming. Swimming is prohibited when life guards are not on duty.

• No fires are allowed on the beach.

• Lloyd Beach has been designated as a boating/sailing beach only.

• Dogs are allowed at Centennial Park only.

• Please make sure that all litter is deposited in the nearest waste container. Under no circumstances are glass containers allowed on the beach.

• Children under eight years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

• Call 847.501.2077 for weather conditions along the lakefront.

Beach Closings

Beaches are normally closed because the monitoring conducted by the Illinois Department of Public Health or its agents determined that bacteria levels exceed those established in the Swimming Pool and Bathing Beach Code.

If you have a question whether a beach will be open or closed, please call (847) 501-2077 after 9 am during regular hours of operation. You can also visit the Winnetka Park District web site
at www.winpark.org or sign up for text alerts.

NEW! Beach Closing Text Alerts
You can now have text messages sent to your phone whenever any of the Winnetka Park District Beaches are closed due to high bacteria or high surf. Just provide us with your cell phone number at the front desk or on your beach application when you purchase your beach passes. The program will be activated beginning June 11, opening day.
